2024-25 Fantasy Basketball Bust of the Year

In our second article in this three article mini-series that we are doing about the NBA season, we're going to talk about the biggest bust of the fantasy basketball season, and just break down how bad and disappointing they were this season. Just for a disclaimer, injuries do not affect the Bust, as they cant control that. We are strictly breaking down a player who was just bad this season.
Even though we said that injuries won't play a factor, and this guy played only 41 games, we just couldn't help ourselves with it because of how disappointing he was this season. You probably already know who it is, it's Paul George. PG13. Podcast P. Whatever you call him, he was absolutely horrendous this season, and this needs to be talked about. Last season with the Clippers, he averaged 23/6/4 while shooting 47% from the field and 41% from behind the arc and this past season was just nowhere near that.
For signing a four year contract worth $211 million, Paul George was just not at all himself. We previously named last season's stats for George, and now get ready for this past season. He averaged 16/5/4 while shooting just 43% from the field and 36% from three. He was going top twenty in most fantasy mock drafts, and he was just nowhere near worth his ADP, or his money that he got.
In conclusion, Paul George is your Strictly Fantasy NBA Bust of the Year. This is such a prestigious award that he is our first and only winner. George will hopefully have a bounceback year next season with the 76ers, but in his age 35 season it will be extremely hard to do. The next article in this series will be the biggest sleeper of the 2024-25 fantasy basketball season, and the contenders so far are: Well we can't give it away, can we? See you guys in the next article.
