2024-25 Fantasy Basketball Sleeper of the Year

04/24/2025

In the final article in this three article series in which we did the Biggest Bust of the Year and the Fantasy Basketball MVP, we are going to be covering the biggest sleeper of the 2024-25 fantasy basketball season. In this article, we are going to be talking about why Ivica Zubac is your 2024-25 Fantasy Basketball Sleeper of the Year.

This past season, Zubac averaged 16.8 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. He also averaged 2.8 stocks per game and showed his paint presence. Zubac was dominant in the pick and roll alongside James Harden this season, where he picked up most of his points this season. He also finished fifth in offensive rebounding this season, and was a huge part of why the Clippers are in the playoffs currently.

But, the reason that he is the sleeper of the year isn't just because of how well he has played this season. Zubac was selected around 126th in fantasy drafts this season, and he finished just around 14th overall. That improvement is exactly what we are looking for in these sleeper picks, to bring awareness to just how good Zubac has been this season. He not only broke expectations for this season, he shattered them. It looks like people severely underestimated the Zubac/Harden pick and roll duo this season.

In conclusion, Ivica Zubac is your 2024-25 Strictly Fantasy Sleeper of the Year. It is safe to say that he really earned this award, with pretty much going from around the 19-20th best center in the NBA to easily top ten and pushing to the top five spot. Zubac is currently in the Western Conference first round, guarding the three time MVP Nikola Jokic every single game. He seems to be holding his own so far, and we will see down the line how he ends up against him.
