Cam Ward 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook

04/24/2025

Earlier tonight, Cam Ward was selected with the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He is going to the Tennessee Titans, and will immediately fill in that starting position for them. In this article, we are going to be talking about this upcoming season for Cam Ward, this past college season, and his fantasy outlook going forward in both redraft and dynasty leagues.

Cam Ward was electric last season at Miami. He threw for 4,313 passing yards, 39 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. On the rushing aspect of things, Ward ran the ball sixty times for a total of 204 yards and four touchdowns. He also had one reception for seven yards and a touchdown. Cam Ward has shown that he is very capable of running it, but is more comfortable with making a play behind the line of scrimmage. He has one of the best arm talents we have seen in the last decade from a prospect, and he will show that this year with the Titans.

Fantasy-wise, Cam Ward is anywhere from the 20th quarterback off the board to falling all the way to the 31st quarterback. He will have to deal with the horrible offensive line that the Titans have, and with his only quality receiver being a 30 year old Calvin Ridley. But, Ward has shown at Miami that he is capable of making something happen. In redraft leagues, we wouldn't really even consider drafting Ward, unless your league has 16+ members, then we would consider drafting him as a backup. But in dynasty leagues, Ward can go anywhere from the 15th to the 22nd QB off the drafting board.

Overall, this season may not be the 2023 CJ Stroud year for Cam Ward because of the struggles that the Titans have on their entire roster. He will still show flashes of the player that he will become, and in the next couple of years he will be a top ten quarterback in the NFL, mark my words. If you are in a dynasty league, we would highly recommend drafting Ward and just waiting until the Titans get that competent roster to build around him.
