Cooper Flagg Fantasy Basketball Preview

Sorry guys, after working so hard these past couple of months, I decided to take one week for myself and have some time off. But, a new week has begun and we are starting right where we left off. In a couple of weeks, the NBA Draft will be here and Cooper Flagg will be selected with the number one overall pick. We aren't here to dispute that at all, because everyone knows that it is going to happen. What we are here to do is talk about where Flagg will fit into the system with the Mavericks, and where he will end up in fantasy basketball this season.
For starters, let's get into Flagg's last season at Duke. He averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.8 stocks. Flagg led the Blue Devils into the Final Four, where they lost to the Houston Cougars. In that game, Flagg missed the final shot of the game to win it for Duke, but he also carried them throughout the game, with 27 points, seven rebounds, four assists and five stocks while shooting 42.1% from the field and 75% from three.
This season, Flagg will fit right into this big man lineup that the Mavericks will have going for them. He will likely come in and start in the small forward position, and with P.J. Washington moving over to the shooting guard, the Mavs will once again have themselves a playoff roster. The lineup will look most likely look like this:
PG- Klay Thompson
SG- P.J. Washington
SF- Cooper Flagg
PF- Anthony Davis
C- Dereck Lively II
With other stars coming off the bench such as Max Christie, Daniel Gafford, Caleb Martin and Dante Exum, the Mavericks have a high chance to be right back in the mix in the Western Conference next season. Also, expect Flagg to be alongside players like Jalen Williams, Jimmy Butler and Julius Randle in fantasy basketball drafts next season, as he will come in and immediately make an impact in fantasy rosters all across the globe.
In conclusion, Cooper Flagg will come into the Dallas Mavericks and fill the small forward position for them. He'll be a great addition and make an immediate impact for both the Mavs and also fantasy rosters across the entire world. Flagg might still exceed expectations, because last summer before any collegiate experience, he played against the USA basketball team, and he held his own to say the least.
