Pitchers to Stream

David Peterson is the first pitcher to stream for today. On May 6th in May 6th Fantasy Baseball Insight, we also told you to stream Peterson, and he had an alright start. He pitched six innings, giving up four hits and two earned runs while striking out six. Peterson had struggled with his control that day, as he had four walks. Overall on the season, Peterson has been a very quality starter, and since he is only rostered in about 20% of leagues, he is a great pickup for today.

We are only doing two pitchers to stream today because there aren't many quality options available. Nonetheless, our second option today is Clarke Schmidt. Schmidt is another pitcher who had one bad start and is just trying to fight back from it. He has only had four starts this season, but three of them have been decent, but his start on April 21st was terrible. He gave up seven hits and five earned runs, while also giving up two home runs. Either way, Schmidt is still an adequate pitcher, and a good option to stream for today.

Matchups to Look Out For

Our first matchup to look out for today is Paul Skenes against the New York Mets. Many people are saying that Skenes is having a "down year" from his unreal rookie season, and while this season hasn't been as good as the last, he is still a great pitcher. Skenes has posted a 3-4 record with a 2.77 ERA and a 0.95 WHIP, which are still extremely impressive. We would look out for this matchup today especially, and consider it a bounceback game for Skenes.

The second and final matchup to look out for today is Cal Quantrill against the Cubs. The Cubs have shocked a lot of people this season with them being one of the best teams in the MLB. The Marlins, on the other hand, have been okay at best this season, while Quantrill has been just downright terrible. He has a 2-3 record with a 7.11 ERA and a 1.67 WHIP, all of which rank amongst the worst in the MLB. We expect this game to be a relapse of the Padres-Rockies game the other night, which ended up being 21-0.
