Pitchers to Stream
The first pitcher to stream for today is Clark Schmidt. Schmidt has been injured to start the year because of a rotator cuff tendinitis that caused him to miss a lot of games. Because of that, he has only started three games this season, and he has been very inconsistent. His last outing went well though, as he pitched five innings, striking out six while giving up just one earned run. Schmidt is only rostered in 11% of leagues, so he will be a very easy stream for you today.
Tony Gonsolin of the Los Angeles Dodgers is the second pitcher to stream for today. He has always been a reliable pitcher for the Dodgers, but he missed the first month of the season with a back injury. In his first start on April 30th, he threw six innings, giving up six hits and three earned runs, but striking out nine in the process. Gonsolin has another really favorable matchup against the Marlins today, so pick him up quick.
The third and final pitcher to stream for today is David Peterson. Peterson hasn't necessarily been bad at all this season, but he hasn't really been good. He hasn't even had a breakout game or an outlier where he pitched fabulous. All of his games he's pitched well enough where it couldn't be considered bad, but not well enough to be considered good. But, since you are streaming him, it's good that he never pitches bad because that means free points for you today. Peterson is only rostered in about 15% of leagues, so make sure to grab him before someone else does.
Matchups to Look Out For
The first matchup to look out for today is Chase Dollander against the Tigers. The Tigers have been one of the most surprising teams in baseball this season with how good they've played, and Chase Dollander has been terrible. This season he has a 2-3 record, a 6.48 ERA and a 1.52 WHIP, all of which are just atrocious for a pitcher. We believe that the Tigers are going to eat him alive today, and that you should try and start as many Tigers batters as possible.
The final matchup to look out for today is Eric Lauer. When I was researching Eric Lauer, it startled me that this pitcher is only rostered in 0.1% of leagues. That may be the lowest I've ever seen out of a starting pitcher ever. It comes for good reason too, as Lauer is just kind of a nobody in the pitching world. He only has one start this season due to just being called up from Triple-A. Nonetheless, he is pitching against the Angels today, which even though they haven't been great, they will feast on Lauer's pitches today.
