Pitchers to Stream
Our first pitcher to stream for this lovely Friday morning is Jameson Taillon. I wouldn't even stream Taillon actually, I would just pick him up for good. Ever since his one bad game in his first start, Taillon has been an overall great pitcher. He isn't really great at striking people out, although he will put up games with five, six, or seven strikeouts. He also doesn't really give up too many earned runs, always giving up one to two. Jameson Taillon is a really consistent pitcher, and since he is only rostered in 22.5% of leagues, we would pick him up.
The second pitcher to pick up is Jose Quintana. He started off the season really hot, with only giving up three earned runs in his first three starts. But in start number four on May 3rd, Quintana gave up six earned runs and three home runs, and only pitched five innings. Overall, his stats are pretty solid, with only a 2.83 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP, so we still are suggesting that you stream Jose Quintana today.
The third and final pitcher to stream for today is Erick Fedde. Fedde's only problem this season is that he is very inconsistent. He has a total of seven starts on the season, and two of them have been absolutely horrible, but the other five have been okay to great. In those five starts, he has an ERA of 2.28, which is one of the best in the league. He has a really favorable matchup today against the Nationals, and with him only being rostered in 9.5% of leagues, we think that he is a good stream for today.
Matchups to Look Out For
Our first matchup to look out for is Antonio Senzatela against the San Diego Padres today. The Padres have been one of the best teams in baseball this season, and Senzatela has been arguably one of the worst pitchers in the MLB. He has one of the highest ERAs in the league this season, sitting at a 5.50, and he also has a 1.86 WHIP with only 17 strikeouts. With how bad the Rockies have been this season, he just has to keep starting and just keep putting up terrible games like he will tonight.
The second matchup to look out for today is, ironically enough, Randy Vasquez against the Colorado Rockies today. Even though the Rockies have been terrible this season, Vasquez is bad enough that they should have a good game against him. He isn't quite as bad as Senzatela, but with a 3.90 ERA and a 1.67 WHIP, he is getting close. Also, Vasquez has 11 more walks than he does strikeouts this season, so he is extremely wild with the ball. Overall, we would hammer the over in this game and just turn on the TV to watch a ton of home runs.
