Who should be the number one pick in dynasty leagues?

The NFL season is just one summer away, and with that comes the beginning of dynasty league drafts. Many dynasty leagues have their draft shortly after the NFL Draft takes place, so they are fresh off seeing all of the new faces and they know the rundown of them. That is why we are breaking down who should be the number one pick in dynasty leagues this year, and it might surprise some people.

This year's first overall pick in dynasty leagues should be Ja'Marr Chase. While you could go a different route with Justin Jefferson or Bijan Robinson, Chase is definitely the right choice for the selection. After his monster 2024 season in which he won the triple crown for wide receivers. Chase just signed a huge extension this offseason, where surprisingly the Bengals were able to keep both him and Tee Higgins. His four year, $161 million deal made history, as it was the highest ever by a receiver.

Last season for Ja'Marr Chase was historic. He caught 127 passes for 17 touchdowns, and 1708 total receiving yards. He was a huge part of the Bengals run late in the regular season, in which they made a last ditch effort at the playoffs. Chase could make a bug play at any point in the game and with 13.4 yards per reception, the stats show it. Chase has shown out all 17 games last season, and shown why you should draft him with the number one pick.

Overall, Ja'Marr Chase should be the number one pick in dynasty leagues because of his consistency at being great last season. He had three games at above thirty fantasy points, and a ton more right at the 19-24 fantasy point range. We aren't saying that you still can't go with a Justin Jefferson or a Bijan Robinson, but the safest pick would definitely be Ja'Marr Chase.
